1980 Kenner Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back Imperial Attack Base Playset
Released by Kenner in 1980 as part of The Empire Strikes Back toy line, the Imperial Attack Base Playset recreated the Battle of Hoth and remains one of the most recognizable Star Wars playsets from the vintage era.
The box features classic Empire Strikes Back artwork showcasing Imperial Snowtroopers defending the base against Rebel forces on Hoth. The original proof of purchase seal remains present on the package, an increasingly difficult detail to find on surviving examples.
This playset displays well and retains strong colour and graphics throughout. The packaging shows age-related wear including creasing, corner wear, surface wear, all of which are visible in the photographs. Despite the wear, the box remains an appealing display piece and a nostalgic addition to any vintage Star Wars collection.
